John Lewis and Andrew Bird

It is nearly Halloween, which means that Satan is coming to attack.
On a lighter note, John Lewis came a'visiting! If you know John Lewis, you understand what a momentous occasion this must have been. If you don't know John Lewis, your life is sadly empty. [He's one of my best friends from Sewanee. Remember that school?]
Ah, to see a familiar face again. And to feel reconnected to my old life as a Sewanee student. John and I went to Vermont, bought cheese and beer, hiked, watched Face Off, and.... SAW ANDREW BIRD! If you don't know Andrew Bird, he is one of my preferred musicians, as well as an accomplished awesomeness-guy/violinist. I've been wanting to see him live for many years, and he didn't disappoint. The show went above my expectations.
Also, it was good to be in a city doing young-people things again [the show was in Providence, RI, bringing my New England states-visited count to five]. Providence is a cool city, and the theatre was full of people my age who don't live/work with me. Nice change of pace for an evening. Consider me refreshed.
Side note: John Lewis milked a goat. He's a teat toucher now, too. Don't let him hide what he has become.
